You can play AltVita on the web without creating an account. Your game save stays in your browser’s local storage unless a future feature clearly asks you to move it elsewhere.
The web game stores your current life, settings and progress locally on your device. We do not receive the contents of that save through normal play. Clearing browser data, resetting the device or removing site storage can erase it.
Our host, Vercel, provides privacy-focused page analytics so we can understand broad traffic and keep the site reliable. We do not put your email address or game-save contents into analytics events. Like most hosting providers, Vercel may process technical request data such as IP address, browser information and timestamps for security and service operation.
If you join The First Lives, we process your email address, consent record and Founding Player status. We use Resend to deliver confirmation, issue your permanent Founding ID and send occasional AltVita Letters. The confirmation link expires after 48 hours. Your Founding ID is derived from your confirmed address and our private signing secret; the ID itself does not contain your email address.
Joining is optional and uses double opt-in: your address is not enrolled until you click the confirmation link. Every marketing letter will provide a way to unsubscribe. We keep confirmed subscription records while you remain subscribed and as reasonably necessary to honor your Founding Player status, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.
If you join The AltVita Society through Patreon, Patreon handles that membership and payment under its own privacy terms. AltVita does not receive your full payment-card details. Links to the App Store and other third-party services are also governed by those services.
