Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy covers the AltVita iPhone app, the website at playaltvita.com, and support communications with AltVita. It explains the information processed when you use those services and the choices available to you.

For information AltVita handles directly, AltVita is the responsible service provider, controller or business as those terms apply where you live. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to hello@playaltvita.com.

2. Your game data stays local

AltVita stores your simulated lives, choices, characters, settings and tutorial progress on your device. There is no AltVita account and no cloud-save service. AltVita does not receive your complete save or the decisions inside it during normal play. The app does send limited usage and diagnostic information, described in section 5.

Deleting the app, clearing its data, losing or resetting the device, or some operating-system events may permanently remove local saves. Reinstalling the app does not restore them.

3. App Store purchases

Apple processes payments for AltVita’s one-time in-app purchases. AltVita does not receive your payment-card details.

RevenueCat helps verify purchases and restore entitlements. It may process an anonymous app user identifier, product and entitlement information, purchase and expiration history where applicable, receipt data, platform, app version, country or store region, and related diagnostic information. This information is used to complete purchases, prevent entitlement errors, restore owned products and provide support.

Purchase records may be connected to the Apple Account used for the transaction by Apple. AltVita does not connect them to an AltVita profile because no such profile exists. See Apple’s Privacy Policy and RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy for their practices.

4. Advertising and consent

The free version may display clearly identified banner or rewarded advertisements through Google Mobile Ads. Depending on your device, region and consent choices, Google and its advertising partners may process information such as:

• IP address and general location inferred from it;
• device, operating-system, app-version and language information;
• device or advertising identifiers where available;
• advertisements requested, shown, completed or selected;
• app interactions related to ad delivery; and
• crash, performance and diagnostic information.

Where required, AltVita asks for consent before requesting ads and offers an Ad privacy choices control in Settings. Google may deliver non-personalized or limited ads based on your choices and applicable rules. Rewarded ads are optional; declining one only means the related reward is not granted.

AltVita+ removes ads and opens rewarded gates without an ad. Previously processed purchase and compliance records are not erased by buying AltVita+. See Google’s Privacy Policy for more information.

5. App analytics and diagnostics

To understand how the game is played and to find and fix problems, the app sends limited usage and diagnostic information to an analytics service provider. This may include:

• how the app is used, such as screens opened, game progress and AltVita Store visits;
• purchase and advertising activity;
• crash and error information;
• device, operating-system, app-version and language information;
• approximate location, such as country or city, derived from your connection; and
• a random identifier created by the app.

This information is not linked to your name, email address or Apple Account, is not used for advertising and is not sold.

6. Website and support information

Website operation

Basic technical logs may be processed to deliver and protect the website. These can include IP address, browser or device type, requested page, time of access and error or security information.

Optional website insights

If you select Allow insights on the website, limited page-use, device and performance information may be processed to understand what works and diagnose problems. The choice is stored in your browser. Selecting Necessary only does not limit the website. You can reopen the choice at any time using the button below.

Messages you send

If you email support, AltVita receives your email address and anything you choose to include, such as screenshots, device details or purchase information. Do not send a complete game save or sensitive personal information unless it is needed for your request.

Earlier Founding IDs

If you previously requested a Founding ID or joined an AltVita email list, AltVita may retain your email address, confirmation or subscription status, Founding ID and limited delivery history to honor that record, prevent abuse and manage unsubscribe or deletion requests. The current website does not require this information to download or use the app.

7. Why information is processed

Depending on the information and where you live, processing is based on providing the app or a requested service, your consent, AltVita’s legitimate interests in security, support, product reliability and improving the app, or compliance with legal obligations.

8. Sharing and international processing

Information is shared only as needed with providers that operate purchases, advertising, hosting, analytics, email or support; with Apple as the App Store platform; when required by law; or to protect users, AltVita and the public. These providers may process information in countries other than yours and apply their own legal safeguards. Any provider that receives information through AltVita provides the same or equal protection as described in this policy.

AltVita does not sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws may define advertising-related disclosures as “selling,” “sharing” or targeted advertising. Where those rules apply, consent and privacy controls are provided as required.

9. Retention and security

Local game data remains on your device until you delete it or the device removes it. App analytics data is kept for up to one year. Purchase and entitlement records are kept as needed to verify ownership, restore access, prevent fraud and meet financial or legal obligations. Support messages and technical logs are kept only as long as reasonably needed for the request, security, dispute handling and legal compliance. Prior unsubscribe records may be retained so the request continues to be honored.

AltVita and its providers use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

10. Your choices and rights

• Use AltVita without creating an account.
• Manage ad consent through Settings → Ad privacy choices when that control is available.
• Stop app analytics by deleting the app, or ask us to delete analytics data.
• Choose or withdraw optional website insights.
• Restore eligible purchases through the AltVita Store.
• Unsubscribe from earlier AltVita email messages.
• Request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection where applicable.
• Appeal or complain to the privacy authority that applies where you live.

Some information may need to be retained where required by law or to preserve transaction, security or opt-out records. AltVita cannot retrieve a local game save from your device.

11. Children

AltVita does not ask players to create an account or provide a birth date, and it is not designed to solicit personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to AltVita through support or email, contact us so it can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.

12. Changes and contact

This policy may be updated when the app, providers or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised, and significant changes will be presented through an appropriate notice.
